Feature Music ~ Nightlover OR ~ Nightlove, electronic music album, 23 tracks, 90 min., recorded in Brussels-Helsinki (2021)

It is past midnight.

The band is playing feature music, the kind you buy a ticket for at your local theater.

They can’t fall asleep.

Melting sugar on their tongue. Thirsty sitting in the sun. All the things we do not see.

Biography

Jacobs-Leinonen is a musical project (since 2019) by Brussels-based artist Bert Jacobs and Helsinki-based artist Ari-Pekka Leinonen. No strict rules for composing music. Everyone can be a singer. A possibility for sound installations. Releases occur in obscure circumstances. Ari-Pekka Leinonen (1988) is currently fascinated with composing and performing music for multi-channel loudspeaker setups. He holds a MA degree in Sound in New Media from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

Bert Jacobs (1987) is a multi-disciplinary artist working in the field of installation-art, sculptures, drawings, prints, multiples and editions. Central to his work is an interest in the mechanisms of memory and intuition, imagination, collecting, storytelling and spatial experience. His practice often takes the form of collaborations; he sometimes curates exhibitions, and initiates happenings, parties, festivals, music and performance events.
